Education Secretary K Ravi Kumar has directed that the attendance of school children in Dhanbad, Palamu, Koderma, Goda, Giridih ,Gumla is below 30 per cent. Last month in Dhanbad, 21 per cent schools were operational, which is a matter of concern. In such a situation, the percentage of attendance prescribed by the Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC Board) for appearing in the examination should be followed by those students who do not fulfill the prescribed percentage of attendance. They will not be allowed to participate in the examination. The Education Secretary has instructed to convey their information to the students through districts and schools.
