Ranchi: The academic session in government schools of the state will start from July 1 till 2022. A letter in this regard has been issued by Jharkhand Education Project on Friday. The academic session has been extended for the next 3 years. Due to the closure of the school due to Covid-19, the date of the academic session has been extended. Under normal circumstances, the new academic session starts on April 1. A letter has been sent to all the districts in this regard by the Education Project.

In the letter issued by the Jharkhand Education Project, it has been said that in the year 2023-24, the session will start from June 1, and in the year 2024-25 from May 1, the academic session in 2025-26 will start from April 1 as before. The annual examination for classes 9th and 11th will be taken in the last month of the academic session. Enrollment in class 1 will be taken in April as before and the newly enrolled children have also been asked to provide lunch. The timing of the operation of the school has also been changed. The school will be operated from 1st April to 30th June from 7:00 am to 1:00 pm and from 1st July to 21st March from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. This timetable will be effective in the next session as well.
