ISRO Free Online Course: ISRO invites applications from students and professionals for a free online course on SAR data processing and its applications
ISRO, though its center is the Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS), has invited applications from students and professionals for a free online course called SAR Data Processing and its Applications, a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC). The course will be offered from 4 April to 3 May 2022. IIRS is a premier training, educational and research institute established for capacity building in the area of SAR data under the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), Department of Space, Government of India. The program, says IIRS, is being offered to further increase the accessibility of geospatial technology to international participants. “MOOC is based on the principle of Self-Dynamic User-Centered Learning and aims to connect learners with teachers from around the world and provides user and discussion forums to support interaction between students in a collaborative learning platform. The learning material for MOOCs is delivered by internationally renowned subject matter experts and includes presentations in the form of customized video sessions, 2D and 3D animations, SCROM packages, lecture notes, and study materials,” says the institute.
